The Person Behind The Practice

Dr. Demian, Veterinarian at Ramtown Animal Hospital
Family Owned & Operated

Owner & Lead Veterinarian

Dr. Demian, DVM

Dr. Demian leads Ramtown Animal Hospital, a family owned practice that has served the Howell community for more than thirty years. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and is licensed by the State of New Jersey. Her philosophy is simple: the best veterinary care happens when one doctor knows the patient, the family, and the full arc of their pet's life.

Her clinical interests span preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, dental care, and exotic pet medicine, with particular experience treating rabbits, ferrets, and small mammals that most general practices will not see. She is a strong advocate for individualized care plans, honest conversations about cost and prognosis, and the kind of long term relationship that lets her catch problems before they become serious.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Demian enjoys long walks on the beach and watching soccer. Ramtown is family run through and through.

"We've been taking our cat Helena here after she was diagnosed with stage 4 bartonella. The vet has been incredibly helpful - she even provided free fluids during a high fever and free oxygen when Helena had trouble breathing. We can't thank Dr. Demian and her staff enough."

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment, or do you take walk-ins?
Appointments are strongly preferred so we can give your pet the time they deserve. We do our best to fit in urgent same day needs during business hours. Call us first if you think it is an emergency.
Do you treat exotic pets like rabbits, ferrets, or guinea pigs?
Yes. Dr. Demian sees rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, and many other small mammals that most general practices will not. If your pet is not on the list, call us. We may still be able to help or can refer you to a trusted exotic specialist.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, CareCredit, and Scratchpay. Payment is due at the time of service.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, through two outside financing partners: CareCredit and Scratchpay. Both let you apply in minutes from your phone. See the Payment Plans section above for direct application links.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Any prior medical records, your pet's current medications, the name and dosage of any supplements, and a list of any questions or concerns you want to discuss. For nervous pets, bring their favorite treats or toy.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations so we can offer the slot to another pet who needs it. Repeated no shows may require a deposit on future appointments.
Do you offer prescription refills?
Yes. Submit a refill request through our contact form or call the clinic. We will confirm with the doctor and call you back when your prescription is ready for pickup.
What if my pet has an emergency outside business hours?
Call us first at (732) 836-9500. Dr. Demian handles many after hours emergencies at her discretion depending on the case. For situations that require a 24/7 facility, we may refer you to Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls or Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Red Bank.
How long does a typical appointment take?
Plan on 30 to 45 minutes for a routine wellness exam. New patient visits or appointments with multiple concerns may run longer. We do not double book, so you get our full attention.
